An image measuring instrument is a high – precision and high – efficiency photoelectric measuring device composed of a high – resolution CCD color camera, a continuously variable magnification objective lens, a liquid – crystal display, a precision optical scale, a multi – function data processor, professional 2D data measurement software, and a high – precision workbench with precise mechanical structures. It is mainly used for two – dimensional measurements, but can also conduct three – dimensional measurements.
Image measuring instruments are widely applied in the precision fields of various industries such as machinery, electronics, instruments, clocks and watches, light industry, plastics, and rubber. For example, they are used in the precision processing of electronic components, precision molds, precision cutting tools, springs, screw machining, plastics, rubber, oil – seal stop valves, camera parts, bicycle parts, automotive parts, conductive rubber, and PCB processing. It is one of the indispensable measurement and inspection equipment in industries like machinery, electronics, instruments, clocks and watches, light industry, and plastics, as well as in the metrology rooms, laboratories, and production workshops of universities, research institutions, and metrology verification departments.
Users can choose different imaging systems such as microscopes and CCD cameras according to the types of workpieces to be measured for combined use. They can also select from three different models according to different application requirements: manual (controlled by a joystick), electric (driven by a motor), or fully automatic CNC.
